Pensioners Days

Pensioners days have again been further extended due to their popularity. 

The dates for 2010 are as follows:

 

Spring dates  Fridays April 16th, 23rd 30th, May 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th

Winter dates  Fridays October 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th

 

Pensioners permanently resident within the LA & CA postcode area are invited to travel on the scheduled services of Windermere Lake Cruises at substantially reduced fares.  Pensioners may be asked to produce proof of residency, such as a utility bill or drivers licence.

 

 

You don't have to be an 'old aged' pensioner.  If you retired early, bring proof of retirement, and you can travel at substantially, slashed prices. For example a 24 hour Freedom of the Lake ticket usually costs £16.50 but on pensioners' day can be purchased for £4.25.   All other boat tickets are £2.50.

Each pensioner may bring one friend, of any age, at the same price.

 

A 24-hour Freedom of the Lake ticket allows unlimited travel on all scheduled boat services and includes free access to the Lake District National Park Visitor Centre at Brockhole via the Ambleside to Brockhole launch service. 

Pensioners can also enjoy half price admission on the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Steam Railway, the Lakes Aquarium and the newly-relocated Motor Museum at Backbarrow
