Freedom Of The Lake & Motor Museum
Enjoy a full day out on Lake Windermere from Ambleside, Bowness, Brockhole or Lakeside followed with a trip down memory lane.
| This ticket returns on 4 April 2020.This service only operates during our peak summer season (April - end of October) and isn't running at the moment. The information below is for reference only and for booking tickets from 4 April 2020 onwards. |
This flexible ticket gives you 24 hours of travel on all of our cruises, but unlike the standard ‘freedom of the lake ticket’ you can choose which day you’d like to use it. Simply pick a 7 day period you may want to sail and then bring your voucher on any of those days to start your 24 hours of travel.
It’s perfect for anyone staying in the area for a week and wanting to pick a nice day for a cruise, or just don’t like being tied down to a strict schedule.
COVID-19 Tier 4 restrictions -we are temporarily closed.
Windermere, The Lake District and Cumbria are all now classed as Tier 4 within the UK Government's COVID-19 restrictions. To help stop the spread of Coronavirus, all of our cruises and self-drive boats have temporarily closed.
Please keep watching our social media and this service status page for information on when we plan to re-open. We look forward to welcoming customers back only when it is safe to travel once again. Stay safe everyone.
⚠️ Already booked? We will be contacting all customers as soon as possible to arrange a full refund.
Our most wheelchair-friendly vessels are ‘steamers’ (marked in black on the timetable) that can be accessed by a ramp from the pier to the main cabin which is under cover and is on the same level. Our other vessels have limited access for wheelchairs but sometimes can be accommodated on board. Please call us to discuss your access requirements. Our 'steamers' operate on our red cruises and yellow cruises. We're sorry, but other cruises operated by our smaller, traditional vessels are not accessible for wheelchair users.
If a disabled adult in your group needs a carer, then the carer travels free. For more information about this scheme and to see all the terms and conditions, please read our company policy for disabled passengers.
Toilets are available on all our ‘steamers’ and launches (check for disabled access) but not our traditional launches. Many of our vessels have licensed bars and/or tea bars. So whilst enjoying the marvellous panoramic views, why not treat yourself to a tipple of your choice.
Our services are provided in accordance with our Conditions of Carriage which can be found on our homepage under ‘About Us’.
For the safety and comfort of all passengers and crew, Windermere Lake Cruises Ltd operates a no smoking policy on-board its vessels, piers and shore premises. This includes electronic cigarettes.
