The Lakes International Comic Art Festival brings the best comic artists, writers and creators to the Lake District for a packed comic art weekend spectacular.

This year’s events include live draws, interviews, presentations, village shop-front art trail, workshops, exhibitions, book launches, Comics Marketplace and more. Plus throughout the weekend, festival-goers will get the chance to get up close to the best comic creators in the world!

Best of all the festival takes place across multiple venues within short walking distance of Bowness Pier.

How to get there

All the venues are in Bowness-on-Windermere and within 15 minute's walk time of our Bowness Pier. More information on the Festival website

Get there by boat

• Bowness Pier is close to many of the venues in the village, get there with direct boats from Lakeside and Ambleside.
• Windermere Jetty Museum is a major venue and can be reached by boat on smaller boats on the Red Cruise from Bowness.
• To avoid the crowds, why not park & glide to the festival from Lakeside Pier (Yellow Cruise)
