Make it a night to remember on the only cruise of its kind on Windermere. Our evening buffet cruise is a relaxed and memorable way to catch the sunset, enjoy great food and spend time with friends, family or someone special. Whether it’s a birthday, date night or just a summer evening well spent, this is Windermere at its most magical.
The cruise lasts around 2½ hours and takes you the full length of the lake, with ever-changing views as the light fades over the fells. Live music is performed on deck by our resident musician, Fiona, who plays a mix of popular songs to set the mood as you sail.
A freshly made two-course cold buffet is included, provided by local favourite Café Ambio. Tea and coffee are also served, and we’re happy to cater for dietary requirements if you let us know in advance.
There’s a full bar on board serving draught ales and lagers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. You can pre-order from our wine list too and we’ll have your drinks ready when you arrive. We’ll be in touch by email before the event to take your order.

Buffet Saturday evening cruise was fantastic. Delicious food, amazing music from Fiona Music in the Lakes, friendly helpful staff. Did not want the evening to end. ~ Katie. TripAdvisor.
Last night we did the evening meal cruise it was fantastic the food was amazing and the entertainment was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was to much trouble it was great value for the money I would highly recommend it for everyone a great experience . ~ James. TripAdvisor.
We joined an evening buffet cruise as a family and had a fantastic time. Great way to see the lake whilst keeping the daytime free for hiking. Food was lovely and plentiful, good choices in the bar (including low alcohol local beer which was appreciated) and sunset over the lake was beautiful even though the weather wasn't perfect. It was Fiona (Fiona Music in the Lakes) that really elevated the experience for us. She made everyone feel involved by asking their favourite songs and building them into her set - we were all singing along loudly by the end, and she covered a huge range of songs for all ages. We even followed her to the Flying Fleece for the Lionesses Euro Final the following night for another fantastic evening. Thanks!! ~ Emily. Google.
Booked this from seeing the poster at the Windermere pier and it didn't disappoint. We were a small group in our 30's and the other guests were generally a fair bit older. The boat is very spacious, not over booked and everyone gets a seat by the window. The buffet was surprisingly filling and the downstairs bar was well stocked. The staff were all very happy to be there and very professional. There was a brilliant female live singer doing various covers and by the end of the trip, half the boat was dancing around and belting out the tunes. Ended with a real feel good factor.
