Local taxi firms are readily available for those who don’t want to drive.I moved here in August 2019 and absolutely love it. The area is breathtakingly beautiful; the residents friendly, helpful and welcoming. The peaceful surroundings enable you to switch off and relax pretty much on arrival. The atmosphere in the guest house is easy going and homely. I am not a hardened hiker but regularly enjoy walking along the local paths and bridleways which are for all abilities and energy levels. For many of these walks or cycle rides, no car is required, they are right on the doorstep. The previous owners very kindly wrote down detailed guides for several local walks which you can borrow and there are plenty of maps and guidebooks for you to peruse. There are also many leaflets giving details of local attractions and places to visit. I look forward to welcoming you soon to what is a truly special place.Jackie CartignyRoom Descriptions:ApplethwaiteApplethwaite on the first floor, is our largest bedroom and is designed for those guests who wish to have a little extra space and comfort.
