The Swan has three decks & has a full capacity of 533 passengers
This ship was built in 1938 by Vickers of Barrow. The sections of boat were transported by rail to Lakeside and assembled. The M.V. Swan is 142ft long weighing 251 tonnes. On board, it is manned by a crew of seven and can reach a speed of 10 knots with its 2x 6 cylinder Cummins diesel engines and 2 x auxiliary generators.
As a family of four we had a fantastic time on the boat. Easy to use and lots of friendly and helpful people showing you everything plus the weather was brilliant so couldn’t have gone any better. Highlight of our visit was taking a boat out around the lake. The staff were super friendly, informative, helpful and they were great with our dog who was even allowed on board!
