With so many great events and attractions within a few minutes of our boats, there’s no better time to take a cruise with us.

During the Easter holidays, consider leaving the car behind and opting for a boat ride to explore the exciting family events mentioned below. Our cruises offer the flexibility to disembark and explore various attractions along the way, providing a cost-effective way to experience the finest offerings of Windermere.

Meet Beatrix Potter’s animals @ The World of Beatrix Potter, Bowness

Monday 1st April @ 10:30 am - 5:00 pm

This event will take place in our Laundrama Studio (just across Rayrigg Road from our Cafe entrance) and will be a pop-in event. Please purchase your event tickets in addition to your Attraction ticket at the Box Office when you arrive. Children are £3 and accompanying adults are free.

Peter Rabbit & Jemima sculpture painting @ The World of Beatrix Potter, Bowness

Friday 5th April @ 10:30 am - 4:30 pm

Choose Jemima Puddle Duck or Peter Rabbit, grab a seat at their painting table and design and paint your own sculpture to take home.

Purchase your sculpture at The World of Beatrix Potter Box Office and have fun!

The Golden Bunny Easter Egg Hunt @ Brockhole, Windermere

Friday 29th March - Friday 5th April

Pick up a trail sheet from the Woodland Cabin or the Gift Shop and get hunting, remember to get a photo with our Great Golden Bunny when you find him to claim your prize from the Woodland Cabin or the Gift Shop in Brockhole House.

⛴️ The Red Cruise stops at Brockhole Pier and the main house/exhibition hall is a 5-minute walk away through the gardens. Direct boats to Bowness (via
Ambleside) & Ambleside throughout the day.

Easter holidays creative fun @ Windermere Jetty museum

29 March–14 April 2024, 11am to 3.45pm

Take inspiration from Windermere Jetty Museum’s collection and build your own model boat from recycled materials. Over the Easter holidays, families are invited to flex their creative muscles to make their own cardboard creations using child-safe saws, screws and screwdrivers, designed by Makedo. Visitors’ creations will form part of a display in the museum’s Learning Centre throughout the Easter break, alongside a sensory area our younger visitors can enjoy at their own pace.

Easter egg hunt @ Wray

23 March - 7 April, 10 am to 4 pm

Make your way along the trail and find fun activities for the whole family. Hula hoop on the West Lawn, aim for the target on the South Terrace, make a splash at the shingle beach, and try and keep the egg on the spoon in the woods!

Prices are £3 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and a dairy or vegan and Free From* chocolate egg.

⛴️ There are regular boat services to Ambleside from Wray Castle (Green Cruise).

Easter egg hunt @ Allan Bank

26 March - 7 April, 10 am to 4 pm

Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. You'll get Easter bunny ears to wear along the way and a chocolate egg at the end. Come along and explore Allan Bank gardens trail runs Tuesday 26 March – Sunday 7 April (house closed on Mondays).

Price is standard admission plus £3 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy or vegan and Free From* chocolate egg. *Suitable for people with milk, egg, gluten, peanut and tree nut allergies.

⛴️ There are regular boat services to Ambleside from Bowness (Red Cruise), Brockhole (Red Cruise) or Lakeside (Yellow Cruise). The bus stop is just a minute walk from Ambleside pier. Take the 555 or 599 stagecoach.
