On-Board Facilities

Toilets are available on all our ‘steamers’ and launches (check for disabled access) but not our traditional launches. Many of our vessels have licensed bars and/or tea bars. So whilst enjoying the marvelous panoramic views, why not treat yourself to a tipple of your choice?

Disabled Access

Wheelchair users are strongly advised to call to confirm which vessel is operating which service. Our steamers are suitable for wheelchair users but on board toilet facilities can only be reached by means of stairs. There are adapted toilets at Lakeside, Bowness and Ambleside, and 'Radar' facilities close to Ambleside and Bowness piers. The main saloons are wheelchair accessible on Teal and Swan but not on Tern (although there is ample covered accommodation). We also offer concessions for disabled customers, full details are in our disability policy.

Please call 015394 43360 for details or fill in our contact form.

Travelling by coach

Visiting us is easy by coach, and we've been welcoming coaches to our piers since we re-opened from lock-down on 4 July 2020.

All coach drivers with cruise passengers are welcome to use our award-winning* Bowness coach park free of charge and will receive a warm welcome from our dedicated coach park staff. The coach park is a few yards from our pier at postcode LA23 3HJ and hosts ticket offices, café and gift shop.

⚠ To ensure that we are operating in a Covid-19 secure manner, we ask that all coaches are pre-booked:

  • All cruise tickets must be pre-booked in advance and your coach parking can be done at the same time. Call us on 015394 43360 to book.
  • It would help us if you could tell us the break-down of your passenger household/bubbles within your coach, so we can book them on our cruises within our socially-distanced seating

If you’re dropping off customers at Lakeside, Ambleside (Waterhead) and planning to pick them up from Bowness then make sure you pre-book your space at Bowness Coach park by calling 015394 43360.
