Spring has arrived, and with it, Windermere Lake Cruises is launching its summer timetable—offering even more ways to explore England’s largest lake. With extended calling points, additional boats, and an increased number of sailings, visitors can enjoy a truly flexible and scenic experience on the water.

Running from 5 April to 2 November, the new timetable welcomes back our historic fleet, including the beloved MV Tern, MV Teal, and MV Swan, alongside our modern launches and traditional wooden boats.

This season, we’re introducing even more opportunities to hop on and off at some of the Lake District’s most popular attractions and walking routes. In addition to our regular calling points—Lakeside and Bowness on the Yellow Cruise, Brockhole and Ambleside on the Red Cruise, and our Blue Cruises to the islands—we’re thrilled to expand our services to include:

  • Wray Castle and Windermere Jetty Museum – ideal for walkers and history enthusiasts
  • New joint ticket options – enjoy seamless access to Windermere Jetty Museum with a Red Cruise ticket
  • The Green Cruise – connecting Wray Castle, Brockhole, and Ambleside for a relaxing journey along the lake

Local residents can continue to take advantage of our 50% discount on all cruises until the end of April—our way of saying thank you to the community that makes Windermere so special.

Following the launch of our summer timetable, our Walker’s Tickets and Fell Foot service will return in May 2025, offering even more ways to explore the breathtaking landscapes of the Lake District.

With regular sailings departing daily, there’s never been a better time to set sail. For full timetables and bookings, visit wlc.co.uk.
